BCCI’s Official Twitter handle experienced brain fade

BCCI’s Twitter handle gone mad and posted a couple of out of the stadium tweets before the start of 4th One Day International between India and Australia.

Yes, you read it correct. BCCI’s Official Twitter handle experienced the brain fade just before the start of the 4th ODI against Australia at  M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru

In case you missed it

India won the first game by 26 runs, second game by 50 runs and the third game by 5 wickets. The visitors, now playing for pride after going 0-3 down in the five-match series.

The 4th ODI

In fourth ODI, Australia won the toss and opted to bat first on a flat-greeny turf.

A few minutes later… BCCI’s official handle, which has 5.3 million odd followers, posted the toss update on their Twitter handle but with a massive blunder.

It posted two tweets back to back

First tweet

“Welcome to the 1st T20I between India and Australia #INDvAUS #TeamIndia”.

Second tweet

“1st Twenty20: Australia win toss and elect to bat #INDvAUS #TeamIndia”.


BCCI controversial Tweet


Soon after the mistake, fans massively trolled the Indian cricket board’s Twitter account for the mistake.

Later, BCCI’s Twitter account controller realised the mistake and deleted both the tweets and posted again correctly.

“(The wicket) will slow up as the game goes on. It has been a bit disappointing so far and we have to get back to winning ways”, S Smith said at the toss.

Indian captain Virat Kohli said, “every game is a motivation for us”.
